Description: Trying to help a friend sell his dad's mustang!   http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/cto/3442288578.html   Up for sale is a 1965 Ford Mustang engine code "A" with the 289 factory V8 4B carb option. We have owned this car for over 12 years and has never seen the rain or snow while in our possession. the information that i will provide is the best of our knowledge as we have only had the car for 12 years total so the total past is unknown. exterior: 8/10 color is black which still shines there is a little paint peeling on the hood where the word "FORD" is mounted there is some bubble rust on the rear fenders but nothing horrible. For the age it is pretty impressive. the chrome has very little pitting and is original we do know that the hood and drivers side door are not original but everything else is.  4 BRAND NEW TIRES and FULL SIZE SPARE interior: 9/10 Red in color.  split bucket seats up front with the bench in the rear. there are no tears in the seats and the carpeting is in great condition. there is an aftermarket radio mounted just behind the shifter with pioneer speakers in the back because the original radio did not work but we wanted to leave it in.  We are not sure if the TACH works as we have barely driven it over the past 12 years but we just wanted to make sure to inform you of this.  drivetrain and powertrain: 8/10 **NUMBERS MATCHING**BUILT OUT OF DETROIT MICHIGAN WHERE IT ALL BEGAN** We were informed by our mechanic awhile back when we purchased it that the VIN matches the body and the engine. also known as a VIN code "A" which was one of the rarest but strongest V8 options at that time.  it is an automatic- no shifting problems or slippage. drives like a champ. the engine fires right up and has its oil changed every year even though there are less than 100 miles a year put on the car the carb was replaced with a holley 650 carb. the exhaust was swapped out with a straight 2inch stainless steel piping. the brakes bite a little to the right as soon as you hit them but it does center back out. we have looked into this several times with no resolution. Just takes a little getting used to but is not that big of a deal. This is a beautiful classic that we are hoping finds a good home. We no longer can keep it or give it the love that it deserves so we are going to part from it. the car was appraised to be right under $20,000 in its current condition, and with a little bit of work could be worth upwards of $30,000 because the numbers are matching.  We are asking $9,000.00 obo- please no lowballing but all reasonable offers will be considered. PRICE DROP!!! i also really urge you to take the time to come out and see the car in person because these descriptions and pictures really don't do it justice. Car is very orginal with correct c-4 automatic trans, correct and orginal rebuilt automatic specific carb, correct and orginal dist. and fan. Car has the orginal 9in rearend (3.50 open). Block is vin marked and has the correct cast iron exhaust manifolds. Even have the orginal mufflers with the Ford logo, although they are no longer on the car. Engine was pulled and checked over at 55,000 miles every thing was fine so just added hardened valve seats. Most hipo automatic cars were GT's, this is a standard coupe with the standard interior. No body panels were replaced when car was repainted.

Description: 1965 Mustang convertible, frame up restoration, 289 engine, original wire spoke wheels, true bias ply tires, the only things I added that were not original is the dual exhaust and an aluminum radiator.   The original 4 blade fan couldn't keep the motor cool enough during the summer months running at parade speeds. Pony interior, auto transmission.  Car runs very strong.  We only put around 200 miles per year on the car.  We spend more time washing it than driving it.  Top is only a few years old, no tears.

Description: This is a 1967 Mustang Fastback C code.  It is a California Car!  We have most of the restoration documentation from the previous ower dating back to 1995 in California.  We have done a few personal touches of our own we have also added this to the History Folder to keep this going! We have updated the Transmission to an Rebuilt AOD it has less than 1000 miles on it.  Alsowe have added all new exhaust. She has several other key features that I can tell you by phone or can email you the list there are too many to list here. Always Garage Kept, An eye catcher at Shows She is Purple during the day and in the late evening she is Blue!  She is RUST FREE, We are selling her due to we don't have the time to take her out to the shows and cruise in's.
