    50th Anniversary Celebration

I was like many others at first, not wanting two shows. But, the more I thought about it, the better it sounded. Especially, since both will be held on the same day. The 45th was crowded enough in... Go to last post

  • Swisstrax - Modular Flooring

Hello fellow enthusiasts! Now that we’ve become a partner of the Mustang Club of America, allow us to introduce our Swisstrax line of products to the forum. Whether you do major wrenching or just minor maintenance, we all know that the work goes so much smoother and easier with the proper tools and working environment. As flooring specialists, we’re not going to talk to you about which toolsets are better. Each nut has his/her own favorite, although you generally can’t go wrong with a Snap-On. But ask us about modern alternatives to epoxy and paint for your garage floor and we can talk for hours.

Epoxies and paints used to be the only viable alternatives to a working garage or shop floor. Tiles and vinyl have their place but they don’t stand up to regular abuse from corrosive fluids, oil and sharp impacts from dropped parts or tools. In the same way that Mustangs have progressed from carbs and dizzies to EFI and electronic controls, so has the technology for putting together a modern working environment evolved. In motorsport pits, garages, workshops and even automotive display settings, high impact interlocking tiles such as those offered by Swisstrax are now the only choice for their combination of strength, easy setup, durability and plain good looks.

As products benefiting from the latest injection and resin technologies, Swisstrax tiles provide excellent value for money. Comparing an epoxy coating (which takes meticulous prep) to Swisstrax tiles in terms of cost is a poor benchmark because the performance of these tiles is simply superior to that of traditional garage floor coatings. With Swisstrax tiles, you get superior strength and corrosion resistance. In fact, these products are resistant to Skydrol, a hydraulic fluid for aircraft, which is why you can also find Swisstrax tiles in a number of private and commercial aircraft hangars.

For us Joes, installing these tiles is akin to putting together those building blocks we used to do as kids. It is, literally, child’s play for us guys who understand how piston engines and suspensions work. A setup for a 2-car garage takes 5 hours to lay out at most. Compare that to preparing old concrete, then applying an epoxy coat, which will take the best part of a week. And although these tiles are easy to set up, they’re not easy to break, which is why Swisstrax guarantees these low maintenance tiles for a full 15 years.

We’re pretty sure that as a car nut, you have an interest in upgrading your garage. Who doesn’t want a man cave to show off and share with his buddies? So, just go to our website and order up some free samples. We send these anywhere inside the continental U.S. Or spend time on the site itself, where you can play with our custom floor designer, mixing and matching tiles and colors to get that look you want to see in your garage. Afterward, just fill in the quote form or give us a call so we can send you a quotation. Or if you’re not ready for that, just browse through the gallery to see what others have done to their garages. Just don’t turn green with envy.

Members of MCA are currently being offered a 30% discount on Swisstrax tiles, so please mention that you’re a member of MCA when you call or send in your quote request.
