1. General Information
    My 71 driver
    1971
    Mustang

    black over white

I purchased this my favorite car in 1998. It was dead. Nothing worked. That's where REBORN came from. It sat under a tree covered for 3 years. The battery exploded at some point during the 3 year hiatus. You can imagine what the acid did to the left front quater. It took 4 years for round one resto to be completed. This is round two.

    Modifications

The exterior is pretty much stock with the exception of the rear honeycomb delete.

    •

The wheels are 17 inch cobra racing with Faulken racing tires and stainless steel dust covers.

    •

The pounched out 30 over Cleveland has electronic MSD. Headman long tube headers. K&N air filter.
I had a custom built AOD built for cruising the highways and biways.
    I replaced the 2:73's with 3:00's.
I kept the 2 barrell and have gotten up to 28 mpg under ideal conditions.
The mild lumpy Crane cam gives the Cleveland the extra push once we hit 70 and above.
It also sounds great at idle.

The suspension is as stiff as you can get!
With the stableizer bars I can do the on and off ramps at 55 with no sway or lean. The ride is although unforgiving.

The inteior came with the premium seats. They didn't feel good on my tooshie.
I replaced them with the standard interior fabric. Much more comfortable.
The sound system is a 500 watt Alpine with four speakers.
NOS console and a new dash.

The engine compartment is as is from the factory. It is there to work. I bought the car with 150,00 miles and have put on 120,000.
My goal is to put 300K on the ode and then retire the car.
The photos above were taken at Pacific Raceway just south of Seattle July 2010.
