Some Information about Midlife Harness Restorations
Hi there!
I specialize in vintage (1963-1973) Mustang and Ford underdash harness refurbishment, but can also work on headlight, gauge, alternator, and tailight harnesses.
What does "refurbishment" mean? I go through each harness, checking for broken insulation, connectors, missing pins, and point-to-point continuity, repairing anything that I see that is amiss. I use professional tooling and practices used in the military and commercial aviation business. I use OEM wiring and connectors whenever I can. I clean and re-tape (if necessary) each harness, and offer a 2 year, no questions asked, warranty on any harness behind the firewall. Wiring from the engine compartment has been exposed to the heat and elements far too long to guarantee that the wiring is still good. Refurbishment does not mean bringing the harness up to concours standards. Instead, it meets or exceeds OEM standards for functionality and will be plug-n-play for stock applications.
Prices are extremely reasonable, especially when compared to reproduction products. My goal is to satisfy the hobbyist with products that are cost-effective and fully functional. All underdash harnesses come with a full set of new fuses, a spreadsheet of every wire color, function, connector type, number, and where each wire goes to. I also provide a quick guide to avoid shorts after installation.
I have a large number of harnesses in stock that have been cannibalized for parts. If you are missing a connector, bulb housing, or other part not in reproduction, let me know and I'll do my best to get you that part. I also buy used harnesses as cores.
