Injury into why my postings don't appear ?

Please correct me if i am wrong, but

I understand that the posts are read before being posted online.

Throughout the day I see lots of postings being made available to the public online.
Many times the posts seem to be available rather quickly, i assume maybe the more active you are may be a factor as maybe those members posts are made available faster ?
But I seem to also notice new members like myself who are posting and become available to the users of the forum.

I have tried several times to give my 2 cents on certain scenarios but the postings just seem to vanish. At first I thought i wasn't hitting submit but preview instead so I was very careful and certain that I hit submit, also my internet was not having any problems so i am stumped at this ?

With the exception of a rookie mistake (which i apologize for) I don't double post or spam the boards.
I believe I am following all the rules. i apologize for this but was just confused and wanted to be a part of this wonderful forum.
Any suggestions to if I am doing anything wrong is greatly appreciated.
