Mustang Club of Houston & Mustang Club of America Go to Barrett Jackson Auction
Members of the Mustang Club of Houston went en mass (10) to the Barrett Jackson Auction in Phoenix on January 22-24. The Auction is one of the biggest shows in town and had lots of gorgeous cars, new and old, being sold. Most without a reserve.
We watched the new Mustang Boss 302 ( 1 OF 1 ) in Grabber Blue being auctioned for charity & sold for $450,000. Very exciting and very beautiful.
The Mustang Club of America had 2 booths and Mustang Club of Houston Members talked Mustangs and Membership in the Mustang Club of America.
Horace Collums ( Pinkie ) signed autographs on the Mustang Club of America calendar. Becky Howard lent a helping hand on signing up new members and having a great time.
Several Mustang Club of Houston Members strolled through the cars coming up for auction. There were some 1400+ cars being auctioned in the 4 day auction. Lots of different cars with different mods and customizations. My favorite was a red '66 Mustang with red velvet interior and seats. Now that's styling.......
The Officers and National Directors of Mustang Club of America were also manning the booths and everyone had a good exchange of ideas and thoughts about our favorite car and the hobby around it.
Mustang Personnel from Ford were on hand at the Ford Booth and they were glad to see and talk with Members of the Mustang Club of America. We got the chance to look at the underside of a pre-production Boss 302. I think the exhaust bypass is really cool. Check it out at Ford.com
It would great if next year, more Mustang Club of America Members came to the Barrett Jackson Auction. We could have Mustang Reunion.
Lots of excitement, lots to learn and lots of FUN !
See you next year..........
