    1st Gear

My 64 1/2 Mustang has a 4 speed transmission. First time driving the car yesterday, I noticed I couldn't shift into 1st gear unless the car came to a complete stop. At that point, it goes into 1st without a problem. I thought the 4 speed was synchronized in all gears, but maybe not?

It's a 289-4V, D-code. I assume trans is original to car and was told so by previous owner. Haven't yet looked for a code # on transmission itself. Trans code on door tag is 5 (4 speed manual).

I actually had this exact same thing happen before. When it happened I was planning on waiting until the weekend to take it in to have it looked at. However, the problem only happened for 2 days and never came back without doing anything. Hopefully someone here will know more about this issue.
