I am in need of a new top and would like to change from the dark tan color to black. The 2000 GT color is red and the the original top is showing wear. The interior is tan? I was told that this would hurt the value of the car by some other folks?
Please share your ideas.

If you plan to one day show it as a concours car, yes it will hurt the show points. If this car is simply going to be a OD/DD car, and you don't plan on all original equipment, go for it. I would recommend adding some "black" touches to the interior to pull the top and interior together better.

My two bits worth . . .
The Black Top will show the dirt more than the Tan Top, and with the top up the interior will be alot more hotter when the sun is out.
