I am not sure what your expectations are regarding this but based on your response you sound a bit frustrated.

I think your idea is a good one and will submit it to both the Regional Clubs committee and the Show committee. As JoyceE pointed out we have information on the website already but we can always add more. Also we can update the information to be as comprehensive as possible. The MCA works through committees and as such it may not move as quickly as everyone would like. Also note that the MCA is a volunteer organization so everyone has day jobs and lives outside the MCA that we support. One suggestion that I would like to make is for someone to write an article on the subject and submit it for publication. We can post it on the website and it might be published in the Mustang Times as well.

    Thanks

    John Farmer

John You are correct I am frustrated! I have been a card toting member for a while off and on. When I started the regional club that i am a member of we wanted to be very active with MCA. We pursued getting an MCA chater and received one after a year. I say after a year because that is the requirement if you are a new start up regional as I found out. This was one of the items I would like to see change from a regional clubs perspective. This information should be published somewhere in a checklist or something. Same with the topic of putting on a regional show. I know there is information on a national show. I want this to be easier for new clubs to get involved, rather than having MCA go out and ask regional clubs to get involved. What Phil made is a great start to a tool that MCA should consider implementing into a welcome type package from MCA. I feel That some of my suggestions fall on deaf ears. Committees are only as good as the people on the committee. Perhaps there should be a point of contact or someone who will persue and present suggestions to the committees and provide feedback to whom ever suggested the idea. I understand everyone has a regular job and a life outside of MCA. It is the same at the regional level. Why should we write an article on this subject? That is why we have forums..... This is a simple tool that I feel should be presented and even impleneted to ease the pain of newer clubs. I think simple items like this should be a no-brainer. Dont get me wrong John its nothing against you but, seems like nothing happens quick with MCA not even a simple I will pass it on. Thanks for your help!

Bobby I am happy to help. After my last post I forwarded the link to this thread to our regional committee member chairman for review.

I also think that this is something we should start in a separate area of the forum for further discussion. Let me see what I can set up. There are lots of people with great ideas and it would be a shame not to get them involved!

John I thank you for your help with presenting this idea to the right channels. I have several ideas about new regional clubs. Should this be discussed in the regional directors forum? Thanks again!

Yes please post up your ideas in the Regional Directors forum. I would also send your ideas to Jeff Mays directly via email. He is the Chairman of the Regional Club committee.

    His email address is dicastshop1@bellsouth.net
