    License Plates

I just bought 2012 Shelby and there is no place for the front plate. Is it legal to just use one, or do I have to display it somewhere else?

    Hi DSS66,
I have 2 2007 mustangs that have hide away plate frames from California mustang. I believe they are called show and go plate frames. There was a thread awhile ago on this site that also showed a electrical plate frame that folds under the front.
I would not drill the front unless you have to.

JLT Performance also sells a plate bracket that you can take off and on without drilling holes in the front bumper.

Here you GO!!!!...... a remote control licence plate frame that retracts for car shows and goes back when you need to be legal!!!!
There is a bit of drilling into the bumper, but no one can see that area underneath the top of the lower grill.

There is a link to a video underneath this picture....

Here is the movie link to see it in action....

A buddy of mine with a Super Snake has that system and all I can say is that it is pretty slick.

My 08 Shelby had the Ford factory front plate mounting kit in the trunk. The dealer should have installed it because I live in Texas where 2 plates is the law. Half of Texarkana is in Arkansas where they only use the back plate.

In Oklahoma, front tags are not required. I think a hideaway would be great, I don't like the look of a front plate on a car.
Trust me, I drive a Mustang!

Yea I have the hideaway from American Muscle on my stang and it's great, mounted up under the front bumper fairly easy! In fact I have one for my other car and it won't work on it (to low already) in a box in the garage!
