Welcome Long Island Mustang Enthusiasts!
Welcome to the forum for Long Island MCA members to discuss news, events, issues, and post questions local to our own region; as well as buy/sell parts and cars, and talk about our Mustangs.
As the Mustang Shelby Club of Long Island ( www.mscli.com ) is the local MCA regional club, many posts will reference their website for supplementary information, calendar of events, etc. As there are many new virtual Mustang forums in the area (NY Mustangs, LI Stangs, etc.) this site offers a place to cross-pollenate the different themes emerging in the Mustang world, find support, advice, opinions, and friends.
And make sure you all mark your calendars for the first ever national Mustang car show held on Long Island "Mustangs At the Beach" on June 17-19, 2011. One of the MCA's 5 National Shows in 2011, this event held in Sands Point, NY at the amazing former home of the Guggenheims and Goulds (now called the Sands Point Preserve), is expected to be attended by hundreds of cars, many from other parts of the country. Check back in the fall for update calendars & events, as well as taking a peak at www.mustangsatthebeach.com after September 10.

Judging Question
John,
It's John D (Mustang at the Beach); we're a member of the same local club (MSCLI).
With respect to "do we have any judges?" I assume you mean on Long Island; the answer is yes. There's a judging area of the website that you might check into for more information. Jim Silverman (3rd-5th gen) and Allen Stewart (1st-2nd gen) are the MCA head judges who you'd probably want to have a word with.
I might recommend you attend a regional, national or grand national MCA show. Some regional and all national/grand national shows have judged classes. We're doing a regional show May 19-20 2012 (Mustangs at the Beach) with modified MCA judging that you'd be welcome to judge in. For full MCA judging, you'll want to attend a national event. On the east coast this year, the only national show is in Warwick, RI July 18-20. They will need/want judges. About 50 members of MSCLI are caravanning up there together; we're taking the ferry from Orient Point (yes with our cars!). The other 4 MCA national events are not on the east coast this year.
In my experience, all you have to do is go to a national show, attend the judges meeting, and be assigned to a team. I recommend that even for people who haven't been certified yet; it's great experience.

I went to the shop and they fixed my boost gauge . It looks like shelby cut the end off the plastic line which was partially closed , not sending enough pressure to the gauge . I'm sending Shelby the bill . They said they would pay for it . I have tell you I was real happy with Super Street Performance they did nice job .
