club rules and safety measures for its members

I am interested in joining mca and looking forward to having some fun . But with what happened 1 yr ago where the president of a national saleen club had to resign after questionalble finances, missing charity money, and finally the disapearence of club bank records . I am little gun shy over joining clubs ,does mca have rules and laws in effect so this never happens.Is there a place I can read them.

All any organization can do is put in the checks and balances to try to insure that stealing doesn't happen. If it does occur that person shoud be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and made to repay every penny.

Agreed. We have a national board that meets quarterly and reviews our finances and have an approval process and budget that we must adhere to. It slows us down sometimes but the process is there for a reason. We also have committees that are chartered with performing due diligence regarding contract reviews,etc.
