I need a good restoration book (lots of details and pictures) for my 1966 GT.
I am going as close to Concourse as possible.

Agree with Jeff. Please note that assembly manuals are point in time references and each factory may have deviated from the information in those manuals throughout the production cycle.
I used the production manuals and "Mustang 1964-1/2 - 1973 Restoration Guide" by Tom Corcoran and Earl Davis, second edition, 1998 to perform the restoration as I was not an MCA member at that time. In my first national show, I able to get the time for two Gold Card judges to look over my car in addition to the show judging staff. Armed with their observations, the judging sheets and willingness to ask questions of knowledgeable Mustangers, I was able to bring my car up to concours standards.
By the way, I believe success in concours is as much a mind set as it is the car. Judges are continually learning new things about our cars. What may have been good in the last show, may not be good this show. Use every judging sheet you get to evolve your cars into the best it can be.
