I am restoring a 1966 Mustang built in January 1966. I understand that the engine color for 1966 was Ford Corporate Blue; the dark blue. However, I see many instances of 1966 cars offered for sale and the engines almost always look like the lighter blue color.

Which is officially correct?

the ford corporate dark blue is correct for 1966.
