69 428 cobra jet

I noticed a 681/2 mustang 428 cobra jet has a functional hood scoop and vacumm controlled air cleaner with gasket. This is a non shacker set up. I have an early 69, built 10/68 with an opening in my hood. Is it possible that this 681/2 setup was carried into early 69. thanks hurlbert

Don't believe so - though they cut the "pie shapes" in the hoods for a very short time don't think anyone has seen any evidence of these being used to make the non-ram air hood functional


Not that a few owners didn't make them functional - sort of a sleeper thing
