'65 tires for 15x7 Style Steel wheels
Wanting to upgrade original 14x5 to 15x7 style steel wheels. Anyone with that size have facts about tire sizes that fit without modifying the panel or anything else? Have heard 225-60-R15 will work well. Can anyone confirm?

I am running 235/60/15's on the rear and 215/60/15 on the front of my 65 with 15X7 steel style wheels with 4.25" backspacing. The car is also lowered 1" and no fender modifications.

Ed,
FYI I tried 225/60-15's on the front but the RF rubbed against the frame rail @ full right hand stop so I dropped back to 215's.
