I can't seem to find a printable membership form on the new website. It would be nice to have a way to download and print a MCA membership form that we can hand out at our local meetings and shows or put in our monthly newsletter. Not everyone in our club uses the internet, and the full color form in the Mustang Times does not copy well at all. Even those that do use the internet are more apt to fill out a form at the meeting and let use sent it in for them, than they are to go home and do it on the internet.
Thanks

How do you deal with people that don't do "commerce" over the internet? I know a lot of people that refuse to put any kind of bank or credit information on the internet. They will want to print a form and mail it with a check or money order.
Just looks to me like MCA is limiting ways to become a member.

Should you have a problem e mail me at gcvaleri@verizon.net and we will correct it.

The simple solution would be having a link on the "Join" page to a pdf file of a text only registration form that can be printed and mailed. It would then be available to anyone visiting the website.

The one in the Toolbox is a great try, but
1) only members can get to it (and they have to search, should be on the home page for anyone to use)
2) it doesn't print too well in black & white - it gets expensive printing full color handouts for a show
3) the blanks are way too small for filling in by hand, and if you can fit your info in no one will be able to read it.
4) it is very obvious it is a scan of an existing document - it does not portray the professionalism of a world class organization.
I'm not trying to be a pain by keeping the subject alive, but why are we making it hard for someone to join the MCA? There should be a simple, easily found, easily printed and easily filled form available for all interested Mustang enthusiasts. It does not have to be a full color brochure and the form needs to be larger than postcard size.
Step into the shoes of a potential member.
"Hey Mustang guy, I want you to join my big national Mustang club."
"No, I can't give you an application, but you can go to the website and join."
"But before you can join the club you have to fill out several pages to join the online forum."
"And you have to put in your credit card info to pay."
"You don't use credit cards? Can you set up a Paypal account?"
"You want to send a check? I guess you can screen print the web page and mail it."
"You don't have a printer, well.... Can you do it at work or the public library?"
"Once you join you can get to an application in one of the member only forums."
"OK, nice talking to you."
Not trying to offend anyone here, just trying to improve the site and grow the MCA.

I agree, you have to jump over hurdles to find anything on the website and when you do it is unusable. The same problems apply to the MCA discounts that are available to MCA members. The only problem is trying to find out what company gives what discount. They should have a printable page that can be given to potential MCA members showing ALL of the benefits of being a MCA member.
Hey guys
Someone just pointed me to this thread. Sorry I was not on it sooner. These are all excellent ideas and I will get to work on them. Give me a few days though as I am traveling on business.
Also please keep the ideas coming on how to improve the site. I am not saying we can accommodate everyone but there certainly is low hanging fruit we should go after!
