While the redesigned website is a gigantic improvement over the previous mess, I'm more than a little put off by the fact that every post on the Community forum has to be approved by a moderator before it shows up! I totally understand the need to police things to keep them family friendly, but if you're going to require that every single post be reviewed, then you need to have moderators available to do that. If I post to a forum, and my post doesn't show up after 24 hours, to me, that's not acceptable, and is reason enough to not even bother posting in the future.

You might want to let the powers that be know this, since I don't think I'm the only one who feels this way.

The website is not set up to have moderator approval for posting. If you are having this issue please send a note using the CONTACT MCA link at the bottom of the page and let us know what forum you are trying to post in. We will research and get back to you.

Try again and see if you can post. Let me know if you can not.

    Thanks!

I found the FAQ about changing my username from my MCA member # but when I click the link to request to change it I get:
#####, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1.Many features of this site are available exclusively to members of The Mustang Club of America. Join now to enjoy all of the features of the site!
2.Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
3.If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Where do I send the request to change with my current # and the username that I would like?
    Thanks, Jon

Jon you can send them to me but I noticed that your account was imported from the old website and we still are chasing some issues with these accounts having the same permissions as the new MCA members. I manually moved you to the MCA members group. Try it again and see if you have access to the form.

    Thanks

Yes, I'd like to know where the page is for the list of the Officers and BOD's and their membership numbers. Like what was on the old website.

Thanks John, I went back to the link and it let me in so I filled out the blanks and submitted, should work now.

I started a blog and it has a funny glitch when you're writing a couple paragraphs, it pushes your cursor up, I had to keep using the arrow keys to get to the bottom of the paragraph and type fast to hold my spot or it would push the cursor up to the first section. I figure a blog is supposed to be short snippets of progress but wanted to start with a few background paragraphs. Also it would be handy if you could post pics in the message vs. only at the bottom for story continuity while reading.
Thanks for your time and all your help, enjoying the new site and features,
    Jon

Do you think a 'Member Blogs' or 'Members Build Sites' would be a useful tab to add to the 'Forum, Community, Events..' tab section? I started a blog out of curiousity but I can only find it if I click on my profile and select blog, there is nothing that denotes I have a blog active.
There may be other members with blogs or build sites connected in their profile but I wouldn't know unless I clicked on each one it seems. Am I overlooking that they are posted in a linked area already?
I really like to follow other members progress with similar projects as it helps mine and do this on other boards, just an idea that may improve the site.

    Thanks, Jon
