Article: MUSTANG 50th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

How about one show in one location, the central United States. Also having it on Easter is a bad decision. So we celebrate the 50th one week early or one week late, big deal. You will have more people and not force anyone to chose between a Mustang and God or family.

Sooo, look at Ford for the frustration. Now, for a personal note. I can celebrate Holy Week and worship God anywhere at any time, knowing full well the importance of this time in our Christian religion. Keeping our Lord in my heart and mind is the most important matter, not where I do it.
Well I was there too and spoke to Steve McCarly and it was loud and clear that the MCA was involved and doing more than one show.... So I'm sorry Gent, I was standing right there when they said it and turned quickly and told then DONT YOU DO IT! One show one big celebration like the 100 at world headquarters... They have been planning this duel event for a while....

I do not support the decision for two, simultaneous events.

My membership is due now. I don't know if I want to renew or not. It has gotten expensive. The magazine is nothing to brag about and this decision is stupid. (I have been in the publishing business so I have some point of reference for that comment).
I have been a member for many years and feel ignored. The fact no one from MCA has said anything also is disappointing.
By the way, I have also taught public relations. When people are upset you do not improve things by ignoring them.
I really wonder what I get for my money.
Why am I constantly told when posting that my answer to the random question is wrong when I wasn't asked a random question.
Will anyone at least address that?

Thumbs down mustang 50th birthday location needs to be at one location

I have to agree with the others that having 2 simutaneous celebrations at the same time will split the attendance and will probably limit sponsor support as well. there are alot of people out there that were looking forward the 50th mustangs across america cruise, but now that doesnt look like it will happen because there is no where to cruise to. there are alot of people also planning to come overseas to participate, and one central location for the show will be better and less confusing than 2 simultaneous locations. This cant be the biggest and best celebration for the Mustang if it is split into 2 locations at the same time.

What could have been and where it way wrong- a long way back

The MCA (Board) thought they were doing the right thing in turning over the 50th party to Ford...thinking that Ford would want to run it-wrong assumption.

Now MCA is trying to fix it...

The sad thing is what could have been but now can't. The 50th comes once, ONCE, and to see it thrown away just sickens me.

Mustang 3 - Well said and most likely the same sentiments of a lot of other MCA members.

I'm willing to be flexible and give the 2 site 50th a chance, though, there's still 2 years to plan everything, but it's going to be a monumental task. The MCA leadership needs to get on here and start talking to us about this decision and clear the air.

Love the idea of having a display for each year!

Well screw up or not I ve been waiting 6years now and Im not missing this.I have a 8 hour drive just to get to the US-Canada border and at that time of year we could still have snow.So all this negativity isn t helping people plan to go to the event we need to be thankful somebody has stepped up to the plate to put on this huge undertaking. We all know you won t please everybody,I have always thought a party/event is what you make it so lets make this an event to remember.Maybe you willget more cars out than thought there are people who can t take off as much time to go farther? I can hardly wait see you all there

See us where? Which of the two shows are you going to? Which one is THE show to attend? Those who go to the other show won't see you.

    Vegas Baby, Yeah!!!

    Vegas baby!
New member here and I really love the fact that I don't have to travel all the way across the country to attend my first event. Let's go into this with the right atitude and make both events great!
