Myrtle Beach Mustang Week

I'm new to the Mustang, although I've wanted one since before I started driving 34 years ago. My wife bought me a 2007 GT convertible.

We are thinking about driving down for the Fri/Sat festivities at Myrtle Beach in July. Has anyone been, is anyone going? I'd like to know if its worthwhile before I put the miles on the car. (We'd be driving from Nashville, TN.)
