Absolutly well done, it was said the 50K people and 15 to 20K Corvettes were there. I drove my Corvette 1600 miles each way, the Caravan was awsome and well organized.

My point is, where does Ford corporate stand in all of this? I find the MCA to be self-serving, but optimistic they will get the job done. No matter where it is, or who does it, I will be there. If asked to help I will. A lot of work will go into this event, money will be spent by someone. I will not stand on the sidelines and complain, I will have fun."

    A very positive attitude...
It will happen--the show will go on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As to the Corvette comment-attitude (not an issue of one car or brand over another). The 20th anniversary of the National Corvette Museum will be held over Labor Day in Sept 2014. 2+ years away, 1/2 a year after the Mustang 50th. And guess what--plans for it are deep underway. Caravan routes are being planned..a web site up and running about the caravan groups. Sponsors are being soliciated--overnight stop events (aka Hot Rod Power Tour type stuff) are being planned. Folks are out 'predriving' parts of routes..... These guys (and gals) consider 2 yrs out as short time, crunch time.....just sayin'

I believe FMC has a lot of input on locations and $ put into the 50th celebration? Just my opinion. Lot of up front sponsorship money I would think to secure two Venues like Charlotte and Vegas.

    I agree, positive attitudes rock!

You guys think this is negative, you should see what's written in the presidents forum! I think I'll give my password to the club members so they can read those remarks!

I voted yes. The reason I voted yes is a logistic issue. If the only show was on the left coast I could not atted due to time constraints. As much as I want to attend the MCA in Northern California in June I can't be gone that long. I attempt to drive to all the shows.

With two shows it makes attending much easier and the cost for those watching their budgets affordable.

Knowing Ron the way I do one show is not going to out do the other.

    Just my east coast opinion.

If there was one show, most likely it would be central us and now slammed on either side of the country........

    .
George- There is only 1 1964 1/2 Mustang that was the FIRST for public sale Mustang to roll off the assembly line - serial number 1. Which show will get it?

There is only 1 1962 Mustang Concept car--which show gets it?

OR is it neither--is Ford holding back those ultra rare cars for their own show?

Yeah, logistics are gonna be interesting.

2 shows 2 weeks apart splitting the Easter weekend would have avoided all this and still allowed for the dual show concept (1 show vs 2 shows and Easter Sunday conflict)........... While April 17th is a very important date--I think it was given too much importance in trying to force both shows to include that date. Within 10 days or so of April 17th would have been fine with everyone and saved sooo much frustration.
