There hoping this site increases there membership income I'm suspecting.

MCA Members should be angry as well. There's nothing any more special with being a member of the MCA than with your local club. In reality the local club deserves more support.

I'm not trying to create issue with anyone here, I'm just voicing my opinion that I wont join MCA because there logic in rules is distorted. I just think its wrong that MCA feels separation of people at there shows is a good idea. Its like saying only blue Mustangs can win at a Mustang show. I think a lot of the clubs today are forgetting its all about the MUSTANG and nothing to do with a click of people.

Paying the entrance fee to a car show should include you in all the reindeer games. I can see a discount for a show entrance fee for MCA members and a fee for non members, but to flat out exclude people from the judging is wrong.

    Agree with you 100%!

Well bro if you look at the rest of this topic even a few members are apposed to this new rule.
I'm part of Team Shelby I pay for that, but it gives me access to other parts of the site non members have.
Maybe MCA should do the same.

You seem to want this to turn confrontational here, you should say less to me about this and more to your board members.

I would also agree an MCA trophy has more meaning than a DQ parking lot show, however MCA better be cautious as they are making less friends as of late with all these new odd rules and decisions.

But making the MCA as a whole seem like they are better than any other Mustang club or person supporting a MCA show I think is a detriment to them. If you piss off a car guy it will get around and they will tell all there friends etc.. sort of like a virus. I don't see how that helps any cause.

The only real entrance fee should be owning a Mustang, and whatever small fee is needed to cover the cost of a show, beyond that its all politics.

Why should you get the same benefit as an MCA member without paying the dues? If you want your car to be judged by the largest Mustang organization in the world, quit freeloading get off your wallet and support the club. Really .... $50.00 is what you would spend at an average restaurant. That's a small price to pay for the value you get for being a member.

Why are you a member of Team Shelby? Can you car be judged at "their" show if you are a non-member?

I disagree. If I pay to get into an MCA sanctioned show I should get all the benefits of that show, not be excluded from judging because I didn't pay a membership fee.

I'm a member of team Shelby because I have a Shelby. Regarding all the ins and outs of the show stuff I cant answer since there has never been a show sponsored by Shelby that I can remember in Arizona.

Look I cant make anyone change there opinion just like you wont change mine, I came to this site with the thought of joining MCA but frankly it feels like its only about the money, and what will I benefit being in the MCA when Im in Arizona? MCA sig next to my name here? Ive been reading here and members are not really that happy.

Why you should join The Mustang Club of America:

The Mustang Club of America is the largest organization of Mustang enthusiasts in the World. The camaraderie of fellow MCA members is legendary. Wherever you travel you will find MCA members that are willing to help with assistance, advice and/or comradeship.

REALLY? I see attacking in my very few posts.

The MCA Board of Directors has adopted a Commitment Statement of support for all members of the club regardless of the Mustang they own or the level of involvement in the hobby.

MCA Board of Directors. Sounds clickish.

Members receive 12 issues of the Mustang Times, the official club publication. This colorful magazine features National and Regional club news, a listing of Mustang shows and activities, feature articles on Mustangs of all years, and technical articles and columns. Members may submit photos and articles for possible publication as cover or feature cars.

    Big whoop!

Members receive free classified advertisements in Mustang Times, and on the MCA website. (Please only submit non-business ads at this time.)

I'm not selling anything so this is useless.

The Mustang Club of America has a Members-Only section on this web site with club news and features. As a member, you are entitled to a free link to your site on the MCA web site (conditions apply). The website also contains club information and a comprehensive listing of Mustang events throughout the world.

Hence why I can see this stuff here and respond, you have your own hidden area already.

Members receive two (2) Mustang Club of America windshield decals. A decal is good for one point at shows.
Entry fees at all National Shows are discounted $10.00 for MCA members.

Oh wow a sticker and a bogus extra point.

Members have access to Gold Card Judges for restoration information and advice. Members can become certified MCA Mustang judges.

    Oh boy!

MCA continues to exert a positive influence on the Mustang automobile and its popularity. This influence helps retain the interest and value of all years and models of Mustangs.

    Oh really I think not.

There are MCA Regional Clubs located throughout the United States. There are also several International Affiliates.
MCA members elect the national board of directors and may run for the board or other national office.

So what, not worth paying for.

On this web site, MCA Members can:

Post in members-only forums including Mustangs by Model year, Mustang Racing, and more.
Upload photos and list their Mustangs' specs and mods in the Virtual Garage.
Upload Mustang Show photos to the MCA Photo Gallery.
Create Photo Albums for their cars.
    Post Classified Ads and Auctions
Access MCA Members-Only News and Announcements

    WOW!!

Please stop generalizing about Arizona. We have very different views about MCA, car shows, and judging here in Tucson than you do in the Phoenix area.

Not to sure about that, talk to SAMC Members. The other Tucson Club that I belong too. I am telling you this is a huge issue and if you come to any Copperstate, AZMCC, Wild West or SAMC Meeting yo will see that. These 4 clubs have well over 500 members in them. This is a dividing issue with Mustang Enthusiasts. I didnt even know the MCA was doing this until it was brought up at the last meeting so I came back on to see for myself. If I didnt care I would not be on here. I believe the sticker on all 6 of my Mustangs stand for something much more than it just being a decal.

I keep reading posts about the "value" of MCA membership and the "value" of an award at an MCA show.

Well from my perspective, the ONLY reason that I continue to belong to MCA is because I am active and on the board of my local club and all the club officers have to be MCA members to be an MCA club. That's the only reason. Value? The discounts are nothing more than I can get through other clubs. I can get the X plan through my employer. The magazine is crap. It literally goes from mailbox to recycling bin in less than 24 hours. I would love it if MCA would offer a lower cost membership that did not include the magazine. The awards are more prestigious? Give me a break. My National and Grand National trophies are on the same shelves in the basement as the other trophies I have and the dart contest trophies that my wife won. In fact since abbreviated judging was used at the 2011 Grand National, that trophy is probably the least prestigious trophy I have.

MCA will increase it's membership by offering REAL value for the membership and being more inclusionary,, more welcoming, not by punitive, exclusionary measures
