Now this will be interesting to watch. Right now it appears 61% support 2 shows but of the 61% only 4% plan to go to Vegas. I voted undecided as I do not support the 2 show idea but won’t let that stop me from going to the better event. Question is which one is going to be the better event? Or will they be equal? LOL

I think you're incorrectly interpreting the statistics with your conclusion of how many support the idea of 2 shows. From the choices offered it may be that hardly anybody supports the idea of two shows, but they simply had to choose one of the four selections. For example, I selected Charlotte but I think the two shows idea is a terrible, terrible decision.

MCA's two show idea is far worse than the New Coke fiasco. The 50th is the single biggest event opportunity MCA will ever have...

If the only show was in the East (CHARLOTTE ), I can't go. That would be 6K miles for me. I am planning on going to Las Vegas unless it is cancelled.

I can understand and support why they choose two show sites. Most people live either on the East or West coast, and if a centralized site was located 1500 miles from either coast, that would mean the majority of the people would be traveling 1500 miles. With a site on each coast, that reduces the miles and therefore make it possible for more people to attend the show (Ford's requirement).

I hope MCA is not thinking about changing it to one site. In fact they should have three sites, one at each of the original plants the Mustang was built.

Some of us thinking of shipping our car's and flying out to Las Vegas . It would have been great on the east .

If this was already mentioned, sorry, as I didn't read through all the posts, But what if they had the 2 events with Vegas one weekend and Charlotte the next, or vice versa? I'm thinking if there's 2 events on the same weekend, it could affect which event vendors and celebs decide to go to leaving one event short of vendors and celebs. If there were 2 events on different weekends, a ROAD TRIP from one to the other or a long drive home, depending on where you live. I'm in So. Calif., so if Charlotte were the first weekend, we'd go there, and then start "the drive home" by going to Vegas the next weekend, or vice versa... just my 2 cents... jan

Definitly Charlotte. Only 4 hours away. Been there, nice track and the area is acommadating. I hope the MCA uses the 'BIG' Lodge nearby. I forgot the name of it, but it looks like it has TONs of rooms for everyone. And is only about 2 miles from the track.

The poll should provide the option to vote for one show or two. It is misleading as it is.

I prefer one show, but prefer Charlotte over Las Vegas. To conclude from that that I prefer two shows is just plain wrong. Neither and undecided were apparently also added after the poll began.

I also have experience with polls and I am sure many others do too. You can get the results you want if you conduct it in a certain way. You always must be very careful when you analyze results.

Ask, do you prefer one show or two. Then ask what location you prefer of Charlotte, Las Vegas or even another site.

That will provide much more accurate information. Again to assume that a person selects one of the locations means he agrees with two shows is just wrong.

Never assume because of what it makes out of u and me. ASSuMe

    Vegas Baby!

Since I'm in Salt Lake it only makes sense to do Vegas.

Having two shows, east and west, seems to the best way to handle the celebration.

The total of attendance for both shows would be huge in comparison to having just one show. Its a no brainer!!!

Actually, I don't like the idea of two shows. But I understand why. Being this will be the biggest Mustang event that most of us will ever attend in our lifetime, I assume it will be PACKED. I'm not sure ONE venue will be able to fill the needs of all who would attend. The same day is good too. That way we all get to enjoy the historical moment at the same time. Without knowing how many will show up, I think it's a good precaution, especially seeing how JAM PACKED it was at the 45th anniversary in Birmingham. Can you imagine how many will attend the 50th? Plus, we have to think about the walk in spectators, who I'm sure will know it's the 50th year for the Mustang, that will attend because it's closer to them also. It's not just us Mustang people, it's also going to bring many outsiders too.
