Treasurer Report for Current Month or Quarter

Thank you all for responding to this thread but I can not fly across country to where ever the meeting is held. I see no reason the report could not be printed in the Mustang Times or on the webpage for MCA.

I belong to a couple of other national clubs and we hold no meetings and our treasurer report is in our monthly newsletter that is mailed to our house.

Hopefully the new board will put the treasurer report online or print it in the Mustang Times.

I am the president of Capitol City Ford and Mustang club in Lincoln, NE. Our treasurer gives a report each month at our meetings and it is available to all members that request it. We do not publish it in our our news letter because we do not feel that it is any one else's business out side of our club.

    Marty,

Mr Peters requested a copy of the financials and received radio silence back. Additionally, even if one takes the stand that its not "any one else's business out side of our club", why can't this kind of information be published in a section of the website that is only accessible to MCA members? We are a nationwide (heck, a worldwide) club. You cannot be seriously proposing that such info be only available to the few members with the means to travel to the BOD meeting.

I do not know why there was no answer. But I would suggest that a direct email or a phone call would be a better means of contact. I can tell you that these reports are a bit complicated and require a bit of explanition. You might want to ask you regional director as they should have the last copy. Hope this helps. Marty

Treasuer Report for current month or quarter

If you go back and read the thread I did email Ron the Treasurer back on August 19, 2012 at the email address I was provided and received no response. I understand why some clubs do not put the report in the newsletter but I see no reason why this can't be put up on the webpage for members only to see. I guess I will quite asking and go away quietly and when my membership comes up for renewal I will just not renew. I can give the renewal funds to a charity organization where it will do some good instead.

Thank you all for trying to help out. Have a great rest of 2012.

I can't see why they have not shared this with you I think everyone has that right to know how our money is being spent.

I would like someone to please send me a copy of the current treasurer report. I just would like to see what expenses and income look like for the club. I do not think I am asking for anything out of line. Maybe if you do not want to send it print it in the next MCA Times magazine.

My wife works with four non-profit organizations and receives monthly reports from two and the other two send her quarterly reports.

MCA Must Own a Black Hole

I don't understand why it's so hard to get information from MCA. Seems like a reasonable request to ask for a Treasurer's report. Our local club provides a monthly Treasurer's summary to members. Why can't MCA do something similar? If not monthly then quarterly, for example. But my experience is that MCA seems to send requests for information into a black hole because answers never materialize. We've been trying for weeks to get information on the 50th anniversary show and we get the same response; i.e., no response at all. Hopefully, the new MCA leadership beginning in 2013 will be more user friendly. My MCA membership expires in 2014 and if things don't improve, I'll be looking very closely at whether I should renew when the time comes.

"I don't understand why it's so hard to get information from MCA." ?????????????????? Every MCA Club, SHOULD or DOES have a Regional Director. He or she, does have access to this information. They can, not only attend, but VOTE at all National Director's Meetings', either in person or by Proxy.

Seems YOUR problem is more at YOUR Club level.

Hey Dave, not every MCA member is a member of a local club. Perhaps if MCA would let local clubs know about unaffiliated MCA members in their area, we could remedy this.

Seems YOUR problem is you assume too much.

    Thumbs up

    ahhhh. Touche'

Now that is an Issue I CAN get behind. Our Club is very small. To have access to MCA Membership in our geographical area would be AWESOME.
