Mustang to be Honored at
Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix
July 12-21, 2013
The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is excited to announce that Ford Mustang will be the
2013 Marque of the Year. If you are a Mustang owner or enthusiast, we’re inviting you to
the PVGP Mustang races and car show events. The PVGP is the nation's largest vintage
race event, covering ten full days – with each event focusing on Mustangs. This is a must
for any Mustang owner or fan. Mustangs of all years are welcome as we gear up to
celebrate Mustang’s 50th Anniversary.
The culmination of Grand Prix Race Week occurs on the July 20/21 weekend in Schenley
Park, Pittsburgh, where organizers have reserved space for the first 500 Mustangs to be on
display in the middle of the golf course overlooking the vintage races. Mustang owners will
be part of the country’s largest vintage race event and have an opportunity to take a parade
lap on the 2.3 mile street circuit in front of 100,000 spectators! Ford is hosting the marque
pavilion and promises to bring special guests and Mustangs from museums and private
collections, even special racing editions.
Detail information about the PVGP Mustang Marque of the Year events can be found at:
www.pvgp.org/mustang including on-line registration, hotel information and details about
each specific event throughout race week.
