About 2 events @ Disney 2013 - Mustangs At The Mickyard & Dream Cars Weekend

Well, I've decided to take a positive route on the 2 events @ Disney and leave it up to you.

As I've stated previously I do not want anything to affect the success of 2013 Grande National.

So, you can do a search on the web for "Dream Cars Weekend at Walt Disney" to find out up-to-date information about the second event @ the Coronado Hotel. Going to be a "Really, Really Big Show".

The folks that are putting the event in place do a great job running local car shows.

    Love my Stang.

I liked all makes of cars and never had a bad word for any of them. My Dad was a parts manager for Ford and Mercury dealers. I drove Ford products from 1959 till about 1969. Switched to GM products after having a 1969 Volkswagon.

When I retired 2010 I looked at Mopar, GM and Ford products new and old. Having found my 2010 Roush 427R I couldn't be happier.

Was so excited to hear the news at our club meeting about the Grande National. Now, I don't know.

Have you checked with other MCA members on the subject. The first 3 folks I discussed this new event with were not happy.

Find it hard to believe MCA is backing this new event.
Robert, First of all, the Dream Cruise is NOT part of the MCA Grand National, but a separate show that will be held Sunday and Monday at the Coronado Springs Resort, not at the Richard Petty Speedway. It was first conceived as an extension of our show due to the fact that non-MCA Mustangs would not be allowed to be judged at our show. Knowing that our club people would be exhausted after working the show, we reached out to another group to work the additional days and they were interested in opening the show up to all cars. As we saw no problem with that, we gave them the go ahead. They are working with Walt Disney World separately on their show. They will be able to attend the MCA Show and activities as spectators only. However, we in turn, will be able to enter our cars in their show if we would like to spend a couple of extra days at Disney.

They are not raining on our parade, but we can join theirs.

When I first read this post I was rather excited to have an additional show available to us immediatly following the GN. However, now it seems that the 2 shows will be happening at the same time with cross-over events?

Yes, there will be some cross-over on the events, but with everyone returning to the hotel for the evening, we will have one big party. As our show basically ends with the Sunday awards banquet, we will be able to attend their Sunday and Monday activities. We are all car people and this is a weekend full of activities for car people, Disney people and anyone else that wants to come to our Grand National and it will be a Grand show.

Very interesting! Is this a judged event or just a show and shine cruise in?

"Mustangs at the Mickyard registered cars will be admitted free into Dream Cars Weekend. Event tickets can be purchased seperately. Buses will be travelling between the two shows."

Does this mean we will be eligible to getting the photo ID without pre-registering? Maybe I should just send them a note asking some questions.
