Thanks, yeah it wasn't easy deciding to turn such a HUGE opportunity. Oh well, I have had one of my corvettes on the cover of Vette magazine. If I was able to get one car on a cover, I should be able to get my Mustang on a show or a magazine...or at least I hope so. Yes, I want a fastback, and even the convertibles. I have done a TON of reading and learning lots on mustangs. I still sometimes wonder what have happened had I cut corners and "finished" the car in time for the show that was going to be filmed in the Washington state. They were going to pay for shipping and use and stuff. It would have been sweet,, but guess it wasn't meant to be. I really love the 2013 mustang taillights. I would love to incorporate them into a 1969-1970 restomod mustang. I am considering a sweet Hilborn fuel injection unit with velocity stacks. I just love the looks of that, but if I went with that then my " Sleeping Beauty" will no longer be a sleeper. What's your thought?

Well Brandon, that's the great thing about cars. You can keep it's integrity, you can do subtle touches and peak peoples interest in the small changes, or go wild with customization. It's all up to you. I'm the subtle type. I like the factory look to stay intact, but yet add my own personal ideas that won't change what the car is. Sounds like YOU can do whatever YOUR mind comes up with and get it accomplished. The idea of incorporating '13 tail lights to another Mustang sounds interesting. But, my mind doesn't have the imagination to go that far. Seems to me you have a great life ahead of you when it comes to cars. The main thing is I see the desire you have for it. We all may see your cars on TV, or in MANY magazines in the future. Maybe you'll be the next Chip Foose! My wife and I have met him a few times. We drove all the way out to his shop back in '09. He's a GREAT person. I hope it all works out for you too Brandon. Love to see pics of your other projects in the future. Bob.

Thanks Bob, I really hope that I can accomplish something that big. I KNOW I am capable of doing so, I just have to stay strong and continue to not give up when I reach a challenge. Rebuilding a former drag car to return to the streets definitely has challenges on top of a normal restoration and it's challenges. Most of my buddies don't have the ability to vision what the car would/could look like finished, lack of determination, patience, and sometimes skill. I have turned non car guys (and girls) into car guys and actually helped them get cars, restore them, and assist in any way possible. I REALLY wish I could meet Chip. He seems like a really cool guy to be around and talk cars and he seems to have a kind, caring heart. Much like myself, which is why I really want to meet him. I know one of his best friends daughters that was in one of my art classes. If you have seen the movie "Two Lane Blacktop," I am like James Taylor and his friend. I speak car 24/7 and like Laurie Bird many people get annoyed but some actually enjoy it as much as I do. Well one day she asked me if I knew Chip Foose, I said no I don't but I wish I did. She smiled and said ok. I was shocked that someone like herself knew who that was. Well later I found out how she knew him. She talked to Chip about all of my work that I have done, and currently doing. So he wished me "Best of Luck!" I got that for my 20th birthday and I thought that was really nice! He is busy and for him to take time out of HIS day to listen to what all I am building and sincerely care and take interest in it really says a lot about what kind of guy he is. When I get the mustang finished, I would like to drive to his shop and let him see my car. He inspires me to build the BEST car that I can, even though I don't have half or probably one-fourth of the tools and machines that he has. I really don't want to have people at car shows look at my car and be able to tell that a "kid" built the car, and also that I built it in my garage and driveway. I really have some cool ideas and designs that
i would like to play with but due to limited funds and time because of college and all my money goes to the mustang. I like to see custom cars and things like Ed Roth built, but I really am like you as I prefer to mostly stock looking cars with some modifications but nothing so radical that it destroys the original designs. Well I have to go to class, but just wanted to reply real quick.

    Brandon

Well Brandon, sounds to me like you're already on the way. You have the Vision. You have the Gift. You have the Desire. And your only 21. That's a great combination to get started with! Sounds like a younger Chip Foose to me. Now, stay focused on wherever your headed. Sounds preachy, but from what I've seen and read from you, I think you have both the talent and heart along with a caring attitude about life in general. Don't let anyone take that from you. I'd love to see your work in person. It doesn't matter if it's done in a fancy shop, or a garage, or driveway. From what I saw, having your own shop and the right tools it can only get better. What you did from your garage speaks volumes about the GIFT you have. Please, keep me in the loop in the future. You're a rare individual. Wish I was that focused at 21. Bob
