Hey MCA, My name is Brandon R. from Tyler, TX. I have been building my 1970 mustang coupe for the past 4-5 years now. I am a CORVETTE and CHEVY GUY! But I LOVE the 1969-1970 mustangs! So I bought a "carport find" 1970 ex drag car back in 2009. It was a blown 390-428 with a C6, but had been retired for years and was left sitting under a carport with other mustangs. I am not building the typical 289/C4 mustang with flowmasters, worn paint and interior with boring wheels. Now nothing is wrong with that but I see those cars everyday. I want something that will actually make your draw drop. So I am rebuilding my car to look factory correct without being correct at all. It will be a "screamer in pajamas!" I have modified just about every inch of inch of the car and I am really restoring my car thoroughly! When I am done, IF that ever happens, it will not only be beautiful, loud, highly detailed, but also extremely fast! I plan to put a 428 in it with Hooker Super Competitions long tube headers, X-pipe, dual electric cut outs, Magnaflows, solid cam, lots of other goodies. This is my first Mustang, and so far this car is really cool and even cooler every time I make progress on it. I will do a Dakota Digittal dash, tilt column, Vintage Air (my car is an AC car), nice Kicker sound system ( even though the REAL sound system is the 428), Snake-Oyl seat belts, REAL teak panels, LOTS of discreet modifications,etc. My car will fool a lot of people, including mustang guys. I am not going to give away ALL of my "secrets" about this car just yet, but when it gets done it should have somewhere between 500-700 HP. I am going to install a Tremec TKO600. I will try to include some photos. Let me know if you guys/gals like my progress. KEEP IN MIND THAT I AM YOUNG, AND NOT A FORD GUY (ALTHOUGH I AM EXTREMELY PASSIONATE ABOUT CLASSIC CARS OF ALL KINDS) THAT IS ATTEMPTING TO CREATE A REAL MEAN MUSTANG.
