its a San Jose built 1965 Mustang fastback with originally a 289 4V engine built around Spet 64 so its a fairly early fastback as Mustangs go.
The door tag (if still there) can provide you with some additional information like original interior style and color, exterior color, region of the country (or elsewhere) it was ordered from, transmssion and rearend gear ratio
thanks, I have the Vin and Door tag de-coded already but I'm looking for history more then anything. I know it was an Arizona car from its birth but just wanted to find out a little more. Like why was it ordered with a Shelby Intake and other stuff like that.....
There are no Ford records remaining for 64-66 Mustangs/Ford so your limited to finding an original owner. You can try to do a search through the AZ DMV but many states now limit access to those files due to the anti stalker laws in many statesthanks, I have the Vin and Door tag de-coded already but I'm looking for history more then anything.
