Thanks for taking time to write regarding the award you received. I can understand your frustration. The MCA appreciates you taking time to travel from Washington state to attend the show. Putting the trophy issue aside, in your opinion, was the show fun?
I know traveling so far to attend a show is difficult enough but was the overall atmosphere of the show worth your trip?
I attended the MCA national show last year in Rhode Island as a judge; I drove from Virginia. My car was filthy from driving in the rain all the way but I wouldn't have let anything stop me from attending. I haven't been to another MCA national event since then but have judged many regional shows.
Many people want trophies. Some are very nice, others are what they are. I wanted to respond and say I appreciate you saying you won't stop attending national shows. I cannot wait to attend another one. I too, will be attending the 50th but it will be in Charlotte.
A National show is a lot of work, my Club did one in 2010. It is demanding on the entire Club.
Your post caught my attention. Thanks for taking time to write.
