Trailering your car to MCA National shows

Has the MCA BOD discussed the 250 mile rule for any other class besides the Concours class?
If this would be done I think it would bring alot more cars to the shows. For those that have older cars and don't want to put alot of miles on them. And also afraid of haveing problems along the way.
Like( DD or modified) where the underside of the car is judged.

this is link to the classes. please look at ODL ODM MD & PS i think that will answer your question. DD will never offer a trailered class. iirc the 250 mile rule was eliminated some time back.

The reason why I asked is becuse there has been discusion at some of the National shows to bring this back. I talked with shorty and he thought it was a good idea and he would bring it up with the board.

At National shows during classification you are asked if you trailered or drove to the show. And I've never had tp pay for parking. Also you my be asked to prove you drove your car to the show. I hope everyone is honest about there car. It's not always about winning an award.

Yep Yep, I drive a newer model everywhere, (3 to 4 times a week, except winter, good old Illinois) but its what all considered modified, I call it customized, lol, when I think of modified, I think SPEED! And I drive a V6, so the speed is lost, anyways, it would be cool if, I could trailer my car that's daily driven and modified to these shows a billion miles away, I kid, but I take care of my pony from top to bottom every night I come home from a run and pretty much every weekend, I take the tires off and scrub a dub dub the underside. Many have accused me of trailering because I keep it so clean but when they see 51,000 miles and my buddies say he drives that car everywhere, they are floored. Detailing my car is my therapy to life and from work! LOL! Don't get me wrong its no concourse car but its clean.
So i want to stay in the modified class, where the complete car is judged but I want to enjoy my local drives where I know the roads and can keep the miles to a minimum, oh and then there is my large family that loves car shows. If I was able to trailer to events, this would keep miles and cost down and we could all hit the road in my truck with my pony behind.
I know there is a way that shows would never know i trailer, but I don't want to go that route. I have seen enough of others placing their cars in wrong class just to better there odds. I want to compete fairly but if I drive 1000 miles it would be tough to compete with the car that drove 100 or 200 miles and then there is the cost of taking two vehicle to allow my family to attend. I got involved in this sport/hobby because of my children and I would like to continue. Maybe there is a way to prove you belong in a class but not a trailer class. Trailer class is a class for the "Elite", the car that only sees the light of day when taken from stable to trailer. Someday I will have one of these,,some call them trailer queen, I call them the fortunate, a dream come true to have a Mustang as a monument of American Pride.
Maybe if an owner showed a couple of oil changes, no because many probably change their own oil, like me, tires no I have two sets.
Well, I guess honesty is really the only route and we know that wont work fully.
    Thanks for letting me babble!

I have entered my 71 Mach1 as Concurs Driven in the April show in Dallas. I live little over 200 miles from Dallas and will trailer because being from Texarkana I know there is a possibility of Hail in April. Going to bring my garage with me so I can get er out of any bad weather. If they want to re-class me that is fine.

That's not a problem, you can enter in the PS class.
