I have been thinking exactly the same thing about the pedestal spoiler on the back of a yellow blaze one. Was it expensive and/or a big pain to get this painted and installed??

The dealer I purchased our stang from gave me the OE pedestal spoiler and rear GT/CS fascia for employee pricing. The spoiler cost me $289 + $135 to paint. The rear fascia cost me $129. I installed the pedestal spoiler myself. I have previously installed GT500 spoilers on two stangs, my 2005 GT and my 2008 Shelby. To install the pedestal spoiler you'll need to drill four extra holes down from the top of trunk lid, then very carefully use a 3/4" hole saw to open up the four holes from below without letting the hole saw pierce the outer skin. The Ford Accessories Pedestal Spoiler comes with the necessary template to drill from the top. I really took my time, double checking all measurements before drilling and the install took 4 hours, including removal of the factory base spoiler. Below are some photos I took showing the existing holes and the extra four that had to be drilled. I personally wouldn't trust most body shops to do the job correctly, but that's me.

Here's a more recent photo, which includes the newly installed diffuser and Magnaflow street series axleback.

Keith, Yes we did get the 3.31 axle, and I'm very happy with the performance and gas mileage. It only lacks the low end torque of my Shelby GT, but it's far better than the 2006 V6 it replaced.

There will be a release on these, but you will have to request it.

On a side note, further down the line, you may NOT want the new striping on your 2011, as it will most likely be a deduction at Judging, as not period correct. Soooo, careful what you ask for. IMHO
Also . . . down the road I see some other issues. My car, (2011 convertible built May 12, 2010) has the Strut Tower Brace as an original equipment item. I've seen other MCA Editions, later production dates, that do not have this item. Looks like Ford, as they are known to do, made a production change (probably to save $$$)! So, when it comes time that I can show the car for MCA Points do I get deducted points because some judge does not know it belongs?

    Just wondering.

Doug, do you have any promotional material for the 2011 MCA Edition Package that list the strut tower brace as a part of the package? I have never seen the STB listed as a feature anywhere. Also, do you mind posting or messaging me your VIN? I would like to look up the window sticker on your MCA Mustang.
