I think some people actually had their day time running lights installed, like having it customized. If I were you, I'd prefer mine bringing it to a Ford Mustang repair shop to get mine installed, because most states require it.
I went to my Service Mgr, and he tried to set up my DRL. He conversed with Ford and was told there was not way to set it up. You are correct when you said that they have them in Canada. The proper equipment is not in American cars at this time. I couldn't believe that Americans are not afforded this safety DRL equipment.
I still love the Mustang Convert. but I feel safer with DRL. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. My Ford Dealer has a great Service Mgr. and he contacted Ford to check this out. There is nothing he can do according to Ford Motor. If I try to get it done elsewhere I could void my warranty and be liable for any electric repairs to my Mustang. Soooo I will live with the situation as it is.
I haven't heard of any state that requires daytime running lights for vehicles other than motorcycles. if they are out there you would
Think that Ford would have that capability built into the cars and trucks they make.
I am purchasing a 2008 GT 500 from the U.S. and planning on importing it into Canada. The daytime running lights will have to be activated to conform to the Canadian rules. Has anyone done this to their vehicle or know how to do it? I know the local Ford dealer will install the part, I am just trying to save the money by not having the dealer do it, if the job is not that hard.
