    Drakesnake.
Neat, thanks for the info. I figured if there was a difference it would have been across the board and not an update just to the Bullitt. On my 2008 it came with Sirius radio so I figured it was standard in 2008 but then I checked my window sticker and saw it was under optional equipment for $195.00 so nice catch!

John, Good luck in finding the right Bullitt for you. I'm not sure if the IMBOC allows ads or not but there are a couple for sale on eBay right now. I've seen a couple of Bullitt owners on this site so maybe they can help out as well.

According to the Bullitt site, they made 6600 +/- `08/`09 Bullitts combined. As for numbering them, the `09's started where the `08's left off. The site is a little conflicted in where the `08's left off and the `09's started, but approximately the first 5800 were `08's and the last 800 were `09's. Check out the Bullitt site for yourself, you can sign on as a guest.

As for the Sirius radio offered in `08 as an option, some Bullitt Heads think the `08's without the Trunk Wart are better looking.

I'm assuming you mean the last 800 were 09's, correct?

Yes, senior moment on the math with that extra zero!

Haha, no problem. I knew there were fewer 09's made but didn't realize there were that few compared to 08.

I wish someone would explain to me the interest in the Bullett Mustang. I remember reading about the filming of the movie and the chase between the Mustang and the Dodge Charger. The writer said that the Mustang was so outclassed by the Charger that they had to keep stopping the chase as the Mustang faded from view. And trying to look up the horsepower back then shows the 68 Charger as having 425 HP while the Mustang had 230 HP. Now the movie looked neat but I have never been that crazy about a green Mustang or a Mustang with a silver gas tank outline?! Maybe I am missing something. Of course today it is a different story with the Shelby Mustang putting out 550 HP while the Charger is a four door putting out 425 horsepower and the Charger being on the heavy side. But anyway to me the Bullet Mustang just isn't anything to get excited about BUT since other people DO get excited about it I figure there must be more to it than meets my eye.

The `01 Bullitt came in 3 colors, green, blue and black. It had a unique aluminum intake manifold with a twin bore 57mm throtle body from the Cobra. 13" Brembo rotors and calipers from the Cobra, lowered with different spring rates and revalved shocks and struts. Unique front and rear stabilizer bars and frame rail connectors. Free-flow exaust with rolled tips. Unique C pilar and glass, a smaller side scoop, a stainless fuel door, and unique rocker moldings. 5 speed Manual only. Unique instrument cluster, pedal covers, shift ball, sill plates, seat style, and serialized Special Edition identification. The Bullitt package was $3695 MSRP. Only 1 option available from the factory, a Mach 460 6 CD and radio. No spoiler from the factory, but some misguided dealers reportedly screwed some on a couple of them.
All the "Uniques" above are in comparison to an `01 GT. Need an `08/`09 person to talk about new ones.

That's a lot of information. Essentially the Bullitt is a unique car. I thought a Bullitt only came in green. But I wonder if buying a Bullitt would give your car any increased value. I was at the car dealer and they had a Rousch Phase II car there which they were asking $57,000 for. And I was kidding and telling them that I figured that Rousch would be sitting there awhile and I would take it off their hands for $37,000. I said who in their right mind would pay $57,000 for a car with no more horsepower than a stock GT. And the used car manager said "You've got that right!! The blue book has no catagory for a Rousch so it shows in the blue book as a GT and you get no more money for it. Probably the same thing for the Bullitt. But if the Bullitt is what grabs you then I guess go for it. Thanks so much for your detailed reply.

Someone buying a specialty Mustang is going to have the knowledge of what they are buying. They are not going to look up a KBB value of a Standard GT Mustang and expect that is what the value of the car is. The best way to get a feel for the current market is checking online car marketplaces and auction sites like eBay. This allows you to see what other 2001 Bullitts are going for or any other specialty Mustang.

Not having a category on KBB doesn't mean anything. I highly doubt the owner of a 1966 Ford GT40 is going to be worried that a buyer is not going to be able to find a category for his car and just look up the used value of a 1966 Ford and expect to pay that.

Also, a Roush Stage 2 does not have the same performance as a stock GT. At first I was going to say I was surprised to hear the car salesman not point that out but honestly I'm really not. Its shocking how little salesmen know about Mustangs when I talk to them.

I wondered what horsepower the Rousch Stage 2 had so went to the Rousch web site and looked up the Rousch Stage 2 and it indicated that the car had stock HP. Then back at the dealers I did finally spot the window sticker which said the horsepower was 412. And the salesmanager said the car had no performance upgrades. But you apparently have other information. Could you tell me what you are looking at?
