HI There.. a Roush stage 2 has the stripes and the body parts plus the suspension upgrades but not the Roush charger or engine upgrades.
So yes it should be the same horsepower as a stock GT. If you had 412 then you where looking at a 2011 specs. I know that Roush is putting a super charger on the stage 3 put I am not sure if they are ready to order yet.

Your answer fits in with what I know. The Rousch site showed the stage 3 having about 525 horsepower I think with a supercharger. And it was even more expensive than the stage 2. So again I was left wondering who would want to pay that much money for a Rousch stage 3 when you could get the Shelby Mustang with 550 hp for less money? It often seemed to me that people are paying money for the builders name to be all over the car like Saleen or Rousch. I wouldn't pay more money to have their names on my car but I guess some will. I won't even let the dealer put their tag on my car unless they want to pay me $50 a month for advertising but they decline and leave off their decals.

Correct, I said it doesn't have the same performance and was referring to the suspension upgrade which Randy pointed out. Depending on the options it may have also have brake upgrades as well.

Bil, your right on the money though. A lot of the markup is paying for the name alone and to have a "numbered" car. One of the dealerships near me had 4 brand new (never titled) 2004 Saleens in 2007 that they never sold. They eventually shipped them to a dealership in Florida to try to sell them. Haha, I also agree with you in regards to the dealer tag and decal. The first thing I do when I buy a car from a dealer is take that off. I do hold on to them but no way I'm going to drive around with them on there. What really gets me is when I see a Mustang owner who bought their car used at a Chevy delarship and has a Chevy decal on their Mustang and doesn't bother to take it off.

Here's a link to Roush vehicles. All about the differences in the Stage 1, 2, & 3 cars, and his other offerings. http://www.roushperformance.com/vehicles.shtml

For me, performance means only one thing, power, so your comment about the Stage 2 having better performance threw me.

And dealer tags have gotten to be a pet peeve with me. Some of them are so cheap looking, just a crummy decal and you'd be surprised at home many of them are on crooked. When I bought my car I told the dealer, no free advertising, you want to advertise you pay me $50 a month so my car has no dealer tag and no dealer license plate holder on it. I can remember a long time ago when Graff Cheverlet in Grand Prairie, Texas had a really nice looking chrome tag with their name on it and they would actually put the tag on cars by drilling holes in the car. Later I read that you should never drill a hole in the metal of a car as it then made an opening into the rust proofing thereby allowing that part to rust. I wonder what Graff uses today.

Thanks for you reply. I had previously written you a nice long note when the server went down as I tried to post it. The server seems to be down an awful lot lately but I am new so maybe this is a normal thing here.

    Customer Service really sucks!

    Right On Seldoon,
I communicated to the Dealership that I didn't want any dealer LIcense plate frame attached to the front of my New 2008 Bullitt. When I went in to drive my newly detailed Bullitt off I was quite irritated that they drilled holes into the front bumper to install their lousy dealership license plate frame. Management was advised of the lack of Customer appreciation. When I take my car in for servicing I have had to demand the use of fender mats and I demand that they don't wash my car with their Courtesy Car Wash in that they do such a lousy job of drying off the car. Twice I have jumped on the Service manager for my car being worked on without anyone putting fender mats in place.

Have a Good One and be Careful out there.

Joe, you're a nicer guy than I am. If I told the dealer not to drill holes for a front plate mount and they did it anyway I would make them do whatever it took to fix the holes which with me would probably be that they would have to put on a new bumper or even replace the car because the new bumper would have to be painted and might not match the rest of the car. And I usually get pissed off when I go to pick up the car at the dealers in that I want to get into a CLEAN car and drive off. Not get into a car with a plastic bag over the seat, a paper tag in the windshield with the dealer car identifier tag and with paper floor mats. Not that I don't want that stuff in my car when they are working on it but the last guy to exit my car should take all that crap with him. I've actually just taken it out of the car and dumped it into the parking lot. And if they do anything to the tires they usually don't set the pressure right. I went to pick up my wife's car, a Toyota Camary, they were doing a 20,000 mile check-up. And unbeknownst to me that included a tire rotation and check. So as I went to drive off the dealer lot the after market tire pressure monitor sensor alarmed. I looked to see what the problem was and ALL the tires were overinflated, the worst was showing 37 psi. The pressure was supposed to be 32 psi. So I complained to the service manager who happened to be on the lot and he actually argued with me saying that I was exagrating and that the worst tire was only 36 as though that wasn't pretty bad. But he had one of those old gauges with the slide piece on it while I had in the car an electronic gauge and when I tried my gauge it also showed 37 in agreement with the TPMS. So I showed THAT to the service manager and he agreed and then he had to go around and let air out of all the tires. Trying to tell me that overinflating the tires was OK and that Toyota was really too low in their air pressure rating?! And had I NOT had the TPMS, months later I would have checked the tires manually and would have said "Wow, what happened to those tires that they were all overinflated" and would not have known what happened. But were I you I would take that car right back to the dealer and tell them they were going to fix their mistake or you would take further action such as suing them.

Oh yes, when I bought my 03 Cobra the dealership said "...and everytime you bring it in we'll give you a free car wash". And the first time I brought it in it came back dirty. So the second time I went back and said "What happened to the free wash?" and the guy said you'd want us to wash the car with those chrome wheels, I wouldn't do that."
