Tupelo Cruise Update - Feb 28th 2010!
Greetings fellow Mustang enthusiast!
We have some exciting announcements for the Tupelo Cruise! Whether your like to SHOW or GO we have something for you so read below! We have updated the schedule on the event website to reflect these changes.

Also the word is getting out and we see new people from all over the South East showing interest through registration and putting themselves on the attendance map! Our numbers are steadily growing and as such, space may be limited for some functions, especially the banquet! You need to register and pay to guarantee your spot at the banquet so please take a moment to register by filling out this form.

NEW MCA JUDGING FUNDAMENTALS CLASS!
Are you into judged events or interested in being an MCA certified judge? MCA head judges Charles Turner and Jeff Speegle are offering a hands on judging seminar that will cover the judging process as well as walk arounds of cars in a classroom setting to discuss the judging process and what the judges look for at the events. Charles and Jeff as well as other MCA judges will be on hand to provide a courtesy inspection of your car and to answer questions you may have (subject to time and judge availability). This is an excellent opportunity to interact with the head judges and get critical feedback specifically on your car that can help you maximize your points this season!
This event is for you if:
  • You are interested in understanding the judging process
  • You are interested in becoming an MCA judge
  • You want to improve your cars score at MCA judged events
NOTE: This course will begin promptly at 11AM so if you are coming in the day of the event please ensure you are there in time to park.
Course Hours - 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Location – Back room at Tupelo Auto Museum
Course Fees – $10 paid day of event

 Course Presenters
Charles Turner - Charles is the MCA Head Judge for first and second generation Mustangs and Gold Card judge for 1964.5-1966 Mustangs.
Jeff Speegle - Jeff is a MCA Assistant Head Judge and is a Gold Card judge in the Shelby 1965-70. Jeff has spent the past 20 years judging at various events.

NEW AUTOCROSS EVENT ADDED!
Is the thrill of spirited driving your thing? Then our autocross event is for you! This event is open to all vehicles (not just Mustangs) and is intended to be instructional and to provide a controlled environment for people of all driving abilities to test their driving skills and get instruction from certified drivers.
Coordinated in conjunction with SCCA instructors, the autocross course will be set up in the coliseum parking lot right behind the Tupelo Auto Museum so you can easily move from the show and shine area to the autocross course and back.

There will be a driver’s safety meeting and course walk through starting at 10:30AM and the course will open at 11:00AM and will run until last car out. This will be a timed track with only one car on the track at a time and one time around the track per run.
Registration is $10 per driver the day of the event.
Tech inspection and helmet will be required so BRING YOUR HELMET!

Our club list continues to grow as news of the Tupelo Cruise spreads! Below is a list of clubs that will have representation at the event! We are pleased to have these clubs at the event and encourage them to bring club banners and pop-up tents to make their presence known!
If your club is planning to attend and you are not on this list or our event website, please send me a note and I will add you right away!

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE CRUISE!
One of the best parts of an event like this is in fact, the cruise itself. Everyone loves a road trip with friends and it is even more fun when you have thirty Mustangs caravaning down the road together! So gather a few of your friends and head down to Tupelo for a weekend of fun with other Mustang enthusiasts!

  • Volunteer to help - We can always use people to assist in various aspects of the event! Just reply to this note and let us know if you are interested!
  • Tell your friends - It takes two or more to have a caravan!
  • Start an event thread on your local forum - If you do let us know the link and we will post it on our website.
  • Plan an outing for your club - Make sure it is on your clubs schedule for events!
  • Send us your suggestions - We had some great suggestions from last year so keep em coming!
